Well thankyou, friendly Anon, I’m glad you enjoy it.
Musically, my inspiration comes from all different artists and genres I like- surprisingly only a little of it comes from artists I actually sound similar to (Regina, Ingrid etc.) and a lot of it comes from my favourite somewhat different artists; Queen, Billy Joel, The Used, and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club most recently. While I don’t (unfortunately) sound exactly like them I try to learn from how they write. It also comes from whatever chords seem natural when I just sit down and play.
In terms of lyrics, they nearly always come from something in my life, though I make an effort not to refer specifically to an identifiable person in most instances. Normally I’ll take the idea from life and exaggerate or change it somehow, which to some extent happens naturally when you’re writing lyrics to rhyme and sound nice, anyway.

I am jealous of you living in Argentina, I studied Spanish for the past year and I wish I could visit South American or Spain!
I don’t really know what I want to do with music, and I also love writing stories, but at the moment both these things are more for enjoyment than for a career in the future. There just seems to be a bit much luck involved with succeeding in some creative areas to really depend on them. That isn’t to say that if I had a chance, I wouldn’t take it, just that I’m focusing on getting an HSC and a degree so I can be sure I have something to count on, haha.
I’m starting Year 12 work this term (which started yesterday) so I’ll finish school for good at the end of next year.
And honestly the pleasure’s all mine in being able to talk to people, so thanks for messaging me :)

Hey :) I’m glad you enjoy them- and thankyou for taking the time to message me, it means a lot! I don’t so far, for a couple of main (and silly) reasons.
One being that I am made nervous by performing. I also have very little idea about how to go about getting gigs, and have no idea when I would find the time while school is busy. I also have no idea whether I would be allowed to play in pubs?
It’s encouraging that you ask though, I think deep down I’ve always been worried that if I did put on a show nobody would come, haha.

I’ve written lyrics and mucked around of the piano pretty much forever, but I started putting the two together probably about year seven, and picked up guitar then too. The songs I did then were pretty terrible though. These recordings start from around the very end of last year.

1. You like Regina Spektor. I saw her live a few weeks ago!
